This is my first blog post!
From now on, I'm going to use this tool to keep track of my cupcakes and cake creations.
And for the starter, these are my very first cupcakes design after I got married and moved to California. They are vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting, chocolate cupcakes and chocolate ganache frosting (oh! yum!), lemony lemon cupcake with lemon buttercream frosting! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteJia you!
My favorite one HAS to be the picture number 3 that has the anenome flower or maybe a magnolia flower? Which is it? Do you have a tutorial to make the flower? I would really like to try to make it. My wedding cake was a disaster and it was supposed to have these flowers on it, when it arrived it didn't have it and our Monogram was ordered at the last minute by the bakery so it was made out of fondant. It looked sloppy and they airbrushed it ivory. I wanted to remake our wedding cake for my anniversary and would really like to learn. If you could tell me any hints I would really appreciate it. Btw do you own your own cake shop? I just moved to Sacramento,Ca what part of Ca are you in ?
ReplyDeleteHi Roxanne..
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your wedding cake, hopefully you'll get a great one for this anniversary.. Unfortunately, I can't show you how to make the white flower since I didn't take any documentation on that. But here's how I can tell you..
I used the 3 petal cutter (for orchid) to cut the petals and cut 4 of them to easily get 12 petals. Then I softened the edges and placed them diagonally on top of each other (make a good use of egg cartoon, some cottons or tissue papers to get the flower shape and to create the gaps between them). And after that you can make the bud by stabbing the yellow half-ball gumpaste with a toothpick. Stick them with a little water, dry them well, and your flower is ready to decorate your cake.. =) Hope that helps..
Btw, I'm in Cypress..
